As of: April 2026

This English version is provided for convenience; the German version is legally binding.

Thank you for your interest in the Stöttlalm. The protection of your personal data is of particular importance to us. We therefore process your data exclusively on the basis of the statutory provisions (GDPR, DSG). In this privacy information, we inform you about the most important aspects of data processing within our website.

Wherever this website offers the option of entering personal or business data, the disclosure of this data is made on an expressly voluntary basis.

2. Security & Hosting

SSL / TLS Encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this website uses SSL / TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address bar of your browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the padlock symbol in your browser bar.

Server Log Files

When you use the website for purely informational purposes, we only collect the data that your browser transmits to our server (so-called “server log files”). This is technically necessary in order to display our website to you and to ensure its stability and security (legal basis Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR):

  • Website visited
  • Time of access
  • Volume of data sent in bytes
  • Source/referrer from which you reached the page
  • Browser used
  • Operating system used
  • IP address used (in anonymised form where applicable)

This data is not used to draw any conclusions about you as a person.

3. Cookies & Consent Management

Our website uses cookies. These are small text files that your web browser stores on your device. Cookies help us make our offering more user-friendly, effective and secure.

  • Technically Necessary Cookies

These are strictly required for the website to function. They do not require consent.

  • Statistics Cookies

These help us understand how visitors interact with the website. They are only set with your express consent (cookie banner).

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via our cookie settings on the website. You can also configure your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and allow cookies only on a case-by-case basis.

4. Getting in Touch

If you contact us by e-mail or telephone, your details will be stored by us for six months for the purpose of processing your enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent. Processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (performance of pre-contractual measures) or our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

Table Reservations

Table reservations for the Almfrühstück, Hüttenbrunch and all other occasions are accepted exclusively by telephone. The data provided during a telephone reservation (name, telephone number and any special requests) is processed in order to carry out the reservation and is deleted after your visit has ended, unless statutory retention periods apply.

Event Enquiries

Enquiries for private events (weddings, birthday celebrations, corporate parties and the like) are handled via the event enquiry portal at events.schwarz.at. You will find the privacy policy applicable there directly on the corresponding website.

5. Web Analytics

Google Analytics

Provided you have given your consent, this website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service of Google Ireland Limited. Google Analytics uses cookies that enable an analysis of your use of the website.

In Google Analytics 4, the anonymisation of IP addresses is activated by default. Due to IP anonymisation, your IP address is truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. As a rule, the information generated by the cookie is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You can withdraw this consent at any time. Further information: policies.google.com/privacy

PostHog

Provided you have given your consent, we use PostHog, a product-analytics service of PostHog Inc., 2261 Market Street #4008, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA. PostHog helps us understand how visitors use our website (e.g. which pages are viewed and which brochures are downloaded).

Only aggregated usage and event data is collected. We disable the automatic capture of clicks and form entries (“autocapture”), session recordings and the automatic creation of person profiles. You are not identified as an individual. No cookies are set and no data is transmitted to PostHog before you give your consent.

The transfer of data to the USA is safeguarded by the certification of PostHog Inc. under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF). The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You can withdraw this consent at any time via the cookie settings. Further information: posthog.com/privacy

Microsoft Clarity

We work with Microsoft Clarity to capture how you use and interact with our website. This is done through behavioural metrics, heatmaps and session replays in order to improve our website and our content.

Usage data is collected using first- and third-party cookies as well as other tracking technologies. Microsoft Clarity is a service of the Microsoft Corporation. Data processing is carried out solely on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. Further information: privacy.microsoft.com

6. Fonts

To display our website, we use exclusively locally hosted fonts. No connection is made to external font services (such as Google Fonts). Your IP address is therefore not transmitted to font providers when you visit our website.

7. Social Media

We maintain online presences within social networks (Instagram, Facebook) in order to communicate with guests, prospective customers and users who are active there.

On our website we do not use any direct “social plugins” that transmit data to Instagram or Facebook without being asked. Instead, we use links only. Data is transmitted to the social networks only once you actively click on the corresponding icons and are redirected to the respective platform. The privacy provisions of the respective platforms then apply (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.).

8. Storage Period

We store personal data only for as long as is necessary to achieve the respective purpose or as required by the statutory retention periods (e.g. a 7-year retention obligation for tax-relevant documents in Austria). Once the period has expired, the data is routinely deleted.

9. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you are entitled to the following rights:

  • Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)

You may request information about the personal data we process about you.

  • Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)

You may request the correction of inaccurate data or the completion of the data we hold about you.

  • Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)

You may request the erasure of the data we hold about you (the “right to be forgotten”), provided that processing is not required to comply with a legal obligation.

  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)

  • Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)

  • Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)

Where your data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests, you have the right to object to that processing.

  • Right to withdraw consent

Where you have given consent to processing, you may withdraw that consent at any time.

If you would like to exercise your rights, a simple e-mail will suffice: events@schwarz.at
